0-5V to 0-20mA Voltage to Current Converter Signal Module I/V Analog Output Board
This module is a High-Precision Voltage to Current Signal Converter, designed to bridge the gap between industrial sensors or microcontrollers and PLC/DCS systems. Based on the photo, it features dual multi-turn potentiometers for fine-tuning and a robust terminal block interface.
Product Overview
In industrial automation, signals are often transmitted as current rather than voltage to minimize the effects of wire resistance and electromagnetic interference. This module converts a standard 0–5V (or 0–10V, depending on calibration) voltage input into a linear 0–20mA or 4–20mA current output. It is an essential tool for interfacing Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or ESP32 boards with industrial-grade equipment.
Key Features
- Dual-Potentiometer Calibration: Includes "Zero" and "Span" (Full Scale) 100kΩ multi-turn potentiometers for precise output adjustment.
- High Precision: Utilizes the LM358 operational amplifier for low-drift and stable signal processing.
- Linear Conversion: Maintains a high degree of linearity across the entire signal range.
- Industrial Protection: Reverse polarity protection on the input power ensures the module won't burn out if wired incorrectly.
- Active Output: Provides a driven current signal capable of powering remote receivers.
- Precision: 0.01mA

Connection Guide:
Right Side (Input/Power):
- VCC: Connect to DC Power (12V-24V).
- OUT: The current signal output terminal.
- GND: Common Ground for power.
Left Side (Signal Input):
- VIN: Input Voltage signal (0–5V).
- GND: Signal Ground.
Calibration Instructions
- Zero Adjustment: Set the input voltage to 0V. Adjust the "Zero" potentiometer (usually the one closer to the input) until the output current is exactly 0mA (or 4mA if using the 4-20mA standard).
- Span Adjustment: Set the input voltage to 5V (Full Scale). Adjust the "Full" potentiometer until the output current is 20mA.
- Verification: Repeat the process once more to ensure the endpoints are stable, as the adjustments can be slightly interactive.
